Human Resources

The Human Resources module is a personnel management tool designed to provide a highly flexible database for maintaining information on applicants and employees from the application/interview process through retirement.

Human Resources includes an extensive file of information on each person, including the following:

Additionally, files are maintained to record the history of the following:

  • Dependents History

  • Review History

  • Disciplinary Action History

  • Benefits Tracking History

  • Employee Education History

  • Grievance Tracking History

  • Employment History

  • Skills History

  • Accident Tracking History

  • Salary History

  • Reward History

  • Drug Testing History

For the most part, the HR system is a stand-alone package for managing personnel information, although it ties closely to HR. The tie between Payroll and Human resources is primarily in the initial setup. The HR Personnel Initialize program will allow you to either initialize HR with all employees from PR, or initialize PR with all or selected employees from HR. Each time a new employee is hired, you may set them up in either module and initialize their record in the other module. After an employee has been set up in both HR and PR, you may change their address and phone number in HR and automatically update Payroll.

The Implementation Checklists and Processing Logs for this module are available in the Workflow module. To view the checklists and logs, use the WF Checklist Template form. For information on processing the checklists and logs, click here.

If you do not have the Workflow module, use the WF Templates report (VA Reports menu) to view or print the checklists and logs.
