Logon Restrictions Maintenance

You can define periods of time when certain operators are prevented from logging on to the system. Any operators who are assigned a restriction code will be unable to log on during the dates and times specified by the code.

For example, you may want to prevent operators from logging on to the system during certain holidays or when a specific office is closed.

On the Site Map screen, open a new tab and select System Administration, then select the Security option. Select Logon Restrictions Maintenance to open this screen.

  • Spectrum will prevent login attempts during the specified restriction times.
  • Users who are already signed in when the restriction time begins may remain logged on.

Adding, Editing, and Deleting Restriction Details

Select the New button at the bottom of the screen to open the New Logon Restrictions window and enter new restriction date and time information corresponding to the new restriction code system.

When entering times, use military time (for example, 2:00 PM = 14:00).

Other button options include Edit, which allows you to make changes to an existing restriction code setup (example follows), and Delete, which allows you to completely erase the restriction dates and times listed for the specified code.

Logon Restrictions Listing

Access this screen by selecting the Listing button on the Logon Restrictions Maintenance screen. Use the listing screen to print or preview a report of the available logon restriction codes. Complete the Restriction code field to define the report criteria that you want to include.
