Manage Training: Where do the Values Come From?

On the Manage Training page, Training and Skills information is determined as follows.

  1. The Start and End Date Filters filter the grid based on the dates in Training and Skills.
    • Training: values are being filtered by Human Resources > Programs > HR Resource Training and Date Complete.
    • Skills: values are being filtered by Human Resources > Programs > HR Resource Training and Certification Date.
    • If either the training Date Complete or the Certification Date are blank, they will always be visible in the portal regardless of the date filters.
  2. Category
    • Category values are being pulled from HR Codes for skill and training by the HR Company specified in the first dropdown.
  3. Employees
    • Employees shows all active employees in the HR Company specified in the Company dropdown.
  4. Date Taken looks at different values in Vista depending on whether the Type in the Grid is Training or Skills.
    • Training: Date Taken reflects HR Resource Training > Date Complete.
    • Skills: Date Taken reflects HR Resource Skills > Certification Date.
  5. Expires On looks at different values in Vista depending on whether the Type in the Grid is Training or Skills.
    • Training:
      • HR Resource Training records in Vista do not have an Expiration Date by default. However, you can create a UD field in Vista to capture training expiration dates (for example, udTrainingExpireDate) and enter the name of that field in the portal setting UD Field to pull Expiration Date for Training Classes from HR Resource Training (Admin > Portal Settings > Training > General Configuration).

      • After you configure the portal setting, Expires On will reflect the value from the UD field in Vista.
    • Skills: Expires On reflects HR Resource Skills > Expire Date in Vista.
