With the third Viewpoint For Projects release of 2023, we plan to upgrade to the latest version of XBIM engine to ensure a better experience viewing 3D models. This will address the increasing failure rates in model processing and provide full support when processing model elements and data. Following the release, IFC Models uploaded in the last six months will be reprocessed to ensure they're compliant and can benefit from the new features of the XBIM upgrade. In addition, we're also updating security features and making bug fixes to improve your use of VFP.
With the first Viewpoint For Projects™ release of 2023, we’re releasing the integration to edit documents using Microsoft Office for the web. In addition, we’ve updated the Uniclass classification tables.
With the ninth Viewpoint For Projects™ release of 2022, we made it easier to copy common container structures. We also worked on batch publishing and live edits for a future release.
If you use Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, you can edit a VFP document (.docx, .pptx, or .xlsx) live in Microsoft Office for the web, allowing easy collaboration whilst retaining the control and governance of your workflow, permissions and security in VFP.
