Install the ProContractor Mobile Publisher

The ProContractor Publisher connects ProContractor to the ProContractor Mobile application.

  • If you haven't already done so, download the ProContractor Mobile Publisher from the Viewpoint Customer Portal at https://support.viewpoint.com/s/. See Download ProContractor Install Files for more information.
  • To complete the steps below, you will need your organization's Authentication Code. If you don't have it, and if:
    • you're installing Publisher for the first time, submit a Support case or contact your account representative to obtain it.
    • you already have mobile users set up, see your already-saved code by going to Administration > Connect Settings > Mobile User Settings. Under the Settings column for any mobile user, select Edit.
This publisher syncs data between ProContractor and ProContractor Mobile at regular intervals. By default, the publisher runs every four (4) hours, which means it may take up to four hours for changes made in one application to be reflected in the other application.

The ProContractor Publisher installation program may also install the following:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework
  • Microsoft SQL Server System CLR Types
  • Microsoft SQL Server Management Objects

To install the publisher, complete the following steps:

  1. As an administrator, log in to the computer with the ProContractor server.
  2. Double-click the 64-bit Publisher installation program that you downloaded earlier.
  3. Follow the prompts to install any prerequisites.
  4. On the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard screen, select Next.
  5. On the License Agreement screen, review the license agreement.
  6. Select the appropriate option button and select Next.
    Note: Accepting the terms of the license agreement allows the Publisher installation to proceed.
  7. If you want to install the Publisher to the default location, select Next. Otherwise, select Change, then browse to select the appropriate folder and select Next.
  8. Select Install.
  9. In the Product field, select ProContractor by Viewpoint.
  10. In the Data Server field, select the ProContractor server.
  11. If you need to modify the database information, select the Modify Defaults checkbox and edit the fields as needed.
  12. Select Next.
  13. Enter your ProContractor Mobile Authentication Code and select Next.
  14. Select Finish.
The ProContractor application and mobile devices that have the ProContractor Mobile application installed can now exchange information.
