When you add a template layer, the layer is not added to the current estimate job. It will only be added to new estimate jobs.

1. Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
2. From the Takeoff tab, click Layers on the speedbar.
3. On the Template Layers tab, click Add.
4. In the Name field, enter the name for the layer.
5. In the Description field, enter in the description for the layer.
6. Select the Show checkbox to make this layer visible.
7. Select the Default checkbox to include all future annotations on this layer. Note that you can have more than one default layer.
8. Click Add.
9. Click OK.
10. Repeat steps as needed for each template layer you want to add.
11. Click Close when you are done.
12. Click OK.
