Register Users for OAuth Login

In order for users to log in to Field Management Mobile via your identity service provider's protocol, you must register their login (typically an email address).

Configure OAuth for Field Management Mobile.
Important: OAuth is a third-party option for configuring secure logins for Field Management Mobile. Logging in via OAuth is not the same as logging in via Viewpoint ID. At this time, Viewpoint ID logins do not transfer to Field Management Mobile.
You can register mobile users with either the Email Address (recommended) or the Domain Login entered on their VA User Profile in Vista.

Important: If a mobile user's email changes, you must manually update that person's email address in Vista and in the service provider application.
  1. To register mobile users with the email address entered on their VA User Profile (recommended), your System Admin must complete the following steps in the web portal:
    1. In the web portal, select Admin > Portal Settings > Security / Login.
    2. Select the Show Advanced Settings checkbox at the top of the page.
    3. Expand the Advanced Configuration section.
    4. Select the checkbox for Use the "Email" field from Active Directory as log in name for Windows / SAML SSO Log In Mode.

After you enable this setting, all users with an email address entered on their VA User Profile are registered to log in via your identity service provider's protocol.

  2. To register mobile users with the Domain Login entered on their VA User Profile, your Vista administrator must complete the following steps:
Important: If you select this method, you must repeat these steps for each mobile user.
    1. In Vista, open the mobile user's VA User Profile.
    2. Select the Info tab.
    3. In the Domain Login field, enter the email address that this person will use to log in to the mobile app.
The next time they log into Field Management Mobile, your mobile users must sync portal settings on the mobile app (Preferences > Sync Portal Settings). This ensures that your authorization protocol is enabled on their device.
