Multi-Factor Authentication

Use VFP's multi-factor authentication (MFA) for two-step, enhanced-security protection from data breaches and hackers.

Note: For Administrators: to learn about configuring MFA for your project, see Configure Multi-Factor Authentication.

To enable MFA for yourself, you must first opt-in to a second layer of authentication via a smart phone through a service such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.

Note: A blue lock appears on the enterprises which use MFA.
Note: The Explorer and Outlook plugins do not support the authentication mechanism required for MFA. If you enable MFA, you must first upgrade to Desktop, or use the web or mobile app.
