Resend Approvals

HR administrators and authorized HR specialists can resend or dismiss approvals that Spectrum has rejected.

On the Approvals page in Employee Self-Service, rejected items are assigned the status Failed to send, but can be resent or dismissed. Currently, Spectrum rejects approvals that are sent when an employee record is in use within Spectrum or during payroll processing because that process locks system records in the ERP.
  1. Access the Approvals page in either of the following ways:
    • On the home page in Employee Self-Service or Trimble Construction One, select a quick link from the Approvals section. This opens the Approvals page already filtered for the selected company and employees with pending approvals.

    • From the Employee Management page, filter by Approvals > Pending Approvals > Personal Information.

  2. On the Approvals page, select an employee from the list that displays in the grid.
  3. On the Employee Details page, select either the Approvals tab on the left side of the page or the Pending Approvals button in the upper right.
    • The Approvals tab on the left reflects the total number of approvals pending for this employee.

    • The Pending Approvals indicator in the upper right reflects the number of pending approvals in the selected area only (for example, Personal Info).

  4. Select the arrow on a tile to review changes for that section.

  5. On the Approvals page for that section, select the Failed to send indicator.

  6. To resend an approval, select the Resend / Resend All button that shows below the rejected change.

When you resend items, their status changes to Sent to ERP. The count on the Sent to ERP indicator increases to indicate the new number of approvals waiting to be accepted in the ERP.

  7. To dismiss an approval, select the Dismiss / Dismiss All button that shows below the rejected change.

Dismissing an approval removes the item from the Approvals page. The employee's record reverts to the information on file prior to the requested change.
